South Fork Skykomish River Basin Restoration Feasibility Project – Restoration Opportunity Report: April 2013

Report cover

This report identifies habitat restoration opportunities in the South Fork Skykomish River basin and its tributaries, located in eastern King and Snohomish Counties, Washington. The report builds on a three phase assessment including gathering existing natural resource information, conducting targeted assessments, and prioritizing restoration opportunities. The focus of the effort was on salmonid habitat restoration opportunities, particularly those that have both habitat and flood hazard reduction benefits.
The report identifies over 100 restoration opportunities, potential reach-wide restoration strategies and targeted studies to address key data gaps. Funding for the project was provided by the US Forest Service, King County DNRP, King County Flood District and the Snoqualmie Watershed Forum.
