Fall is here, and salmon are returning to streams and rivers around Puget Sound. Watch for these natural beauties at viewing sites listed here - and cheer them on if you see them!

Look for salmon at Whitney Bridge on the Green River

Dates: September and October (Chinook and pink salmon), October through December (chum), and November and December (coho) (self-guided)
Location: Whitney Bridge Park, SE Green Valley Road and 212th Way SE, near Auburn

At Whitney Bridge on the Green River you may see Chinook and pink salmon in September and October, chum salmon October through December, and coho salmon in November and December.

Head to SE Green Valley Road and 212th Way SE east of Auburn and park in the lot on the west side of 212th Way SE. You can follow the trail down to the river, but the best viewing is from the 212th Way Bridge. Walk up to 212th from the parking lot, turn right and follow the broad sidewalk to the bridge for viewing. There is no need to cross this active county road.
