Salmon Recovery Funding Board-Funded Salmon Habitat Projects
The Salmon Recovery Funding Board awarded $13 million during the first 10 funding rounds for salmon habitat protection, restoration, and assessment projects in the Green/Duwamish and Central Puget Sound Watershed (WRIA 9).
These grants build on funding sources such as King Conservation District, Conservation Futures, and other state and federal funding sources. To date, over $16 million in local, state, and federal funds have been leveraged by the Salmon Recovery Funding Board (and Puget Sound Acquisition and Restoration program) funds.
The map below shows projects funded during the first seven rounds (not shown are pre-SRFB grants and grants from rounds 8 [2007] to 10 [2009]). Links will take you to descriptions of each project.
