Meeting Overview:

Major agenda items are: Updates and committee reports, including consideration of draft SRC letter to state legislators expressing concerns about impacts from not having a biennial capital budget, SRC letter to Sen. Murray thanking her for her leadership in restoring the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund and including $65 million for the program in the 2018 Senate Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations Bill, and SRC letter to Colonel Geraldi, welcoming him as the new Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District Commander, and introducing him to WRIA 8; Reviewing final draft WRIA 8 Plan Update for approval; Briefing on the Ballard Locks Economic Impact Study and reviewing draft SRC letter to the Army Corps of Engineers leadership supporting critical infrastructure repairs; and a Success Story presentation from King County on recent Bear Creek in-stream and riparian habitat restoration projects.
