Materials or waste exchanges are not new. The concept began in Europe and spread to North America in the late 1970s. The North American exchanges share information with one another. However, you are welcome to contact any of these exchanges to either place a listing or to receive their catalogs. This list is not exhaustive and many new exchanges are coming on line monthly. We will gladly assist in furnishing information on newer exchange programs.
Most materials exchanges occur within 500 miles of the generating site. However, for especially valuable materials, it may be advantageous to list with exchanges across North America.
